Andre Julian
Andre Julian is the Senior Market Strategist at OpVest Wealth Management in Irvine, CA. OpVest specializes in alternative investment strategies that strive to give clients proper asset allocation following a proprietary model that spreads portfolio allocation across separate asset classes. Since joining OpVest, he has built an impressive list of accomplishments in the financial industry including: Co-authoring several educational books on trading and trading strategies, becoming a regularly featured analyst on investment radio and television, and actively writing educational and analytical articles related to investing. He has been instrumental in helping build OpVest into the industry leader it is today. Andre is registered as a Series 3 commodities broker and a CTA with the CFTC and NFA, and as an RIA with FINRA.
Andre Julian’s 14 years of investment experience have made him incredibly well-versed in fundamental and technical analysis of the commodities and equity markets, risk management, asset allocation, compliance and economics. He focuses on enlightening other investors by passing along the knowledge that he has gained over the years onto them through his work with the investment media. Since entering the investment industry, Andre has proven himself to be a highly motivated and successful businessman. In the 90s, he became one of the top brokers at one of the nation’s leading commodities brokerage firms. In 2001, he made the move to become a co-owner of Summit Financial Services, which became an Independent Brokerage, OpVest, in 2003. In addition to his brokerage experience, Andre also has co-founded two asset management companies: Tempest Asset Management and Avalon Asset Management.
As part of his graduate study and thesis research, Andre Julian worked on a government sponsored research grant at UCI by managing a research team that helped develop a book exposing the financial and regulatory issues involved in the Savings and Loan Debacle of the 1980’s. He received his MA in Social Ecology from the University of California at Irvine in 1994. He received his BA in Psychology from the University of California at Irvine in 1991.
